After leaving school I started my career in the Royal Air Force, working as an Aircraft Technician on various aircraft. My original intention was to make a career in the RAF and I spent 4 years travelling around the UK and overseas. However, after a few years service I couldn’t see my career progressing down the route I wanted and decided to pursue a career in sales.
At the time I wasn’t entirely sure of what I wanted to do but I knew I wanted a role where I could make an immediate impact and be in control of my own business.
I joined GCS as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant working with the Open Source market and in my first 3 months I worked hard on a variety of projects. Using the skills I gained from training with the managers, I soon qualified to become a Recruitment Consultant.
Since then I have continued making sales deals and I hope to take advantage of all the rewards GCS has to offer. My role is varied and exciting and although it is a lot of hard work, the people and working environment make it all worthwhile.
I am glad to be part of the sales team and am looking forward to a long and prosperous future with GCS.
