Sam had spent five years in telesales and risen to managerial level, but he felt he needed a greater challenge. After a head-hunter suggested a career in recruitment, he joined GCS: “I was so impressed with the way they conducted the interview. I sat with the team and it just felt right.”
Sam progressed quickly through the company and is now a Team Manager. He has won many awards since joining the company, including Best Newcomer and Consultant of the Quarter. He has also been on incentive trips to Las Vegas, Miami and Paris.
He’s now tasked with building up the QA and Testing team: “This year is going to be really big for recruitment and I need to make it happen in my new role. I’ll be building a larger team and we need people who are prepared to put their heads down and get on with it. We operate in a high-energy environment and the rewards can be fantastic, but you need to be a grafter and work hard.
“It may sound like a cliché, but GCS is like a real family. People have a passion for each other and a will for everyone to be successful. But most importantly, there is a tremendous respect in the company for everyone, across all levels. I feel I’m so lucky to have found GCS and would never want to work anywhere else: I’m here for the long haul.”
