Vipul, Principal Consultant

Joined GCS in March 2005

“I’m not a typical sales person and GCS’s style is right for me: it’s an unorthodox environment for a sales company. In particular, it feels like a family: if anyone needs help, everyone will chip in. We’re a tightly-knit group and we work hard, but we play hard as well.”

Vipul started his working life in IT but then moved into selling cars. This confirmed his passion for sales, but he needed a more challenging environment. GCS turned out to be the right choice: “It’s given me the career I was looking for. It’s helped me find myself and grow as a person. I’ve been able to achieve the goals I’ve set myself and develop the life style I want.”

Starting as a Trainee Consultant, he has progressed over five years to Principal Consultant and will soon join the growing list that comprises GCS’s gross profit ‘Millionaires Club’. He now has ambitions to start a team of his own and help individuals progress in the same way the company has helped him.

Vipul has clear ideas on the sort of person who will succeed in recruitment: “We don’t want ‘Jack the lads’. You need to be ambitious, but also savvy, intelligent, articulate and quick on your feet. To do well, you need to be focused on goals and do what it takes: if that means working late, then you have to do it.

“Although the financial rewards are fantastic, it’s about more than that. It’s personally very satisfying when you help other people find a role that they are happy with.”

In his time, Vipul has hit many targets and as a result has been to Las Vegas and Puerto Banus: “With GCS, I’ve found that the world really is my oyster and that anything is achievable if you are prepared to do what it takes to get it.”
