I originally started out working within the IT industry as a Systems Administrator but always felt that I was capable of much, much more. I soon found that my role became quite tedious and repetitive and felt that I needed to exploit my most powerful feature, my communication skills.
My first experience in sales was selling new cars for almost a year. This confirmed that my passion was within sales and I picked up the techniques quickly and learnt how to put them into practice.
A close friend of mine had been working in the IT department of an employment agency and, seeing my hunger for success and determination, he recommended that I should get into recruitment sales as the rewards to effort ratio were much more promising than motor vehicle sales.
I was pointed in the direction of GCS and began my career as a Resourcer for one of their top Consultants. Using the knowledge from my mentor and skills gained from GCS’s training program I soon became familiar with my role. After 6 months hard work I became a Sales Consultant myself and have now moved on to become a Senior Consultant. I am working towards achieving Team Leader status and have already been to Las Vegas and Puerto Banus as reward for hitting my sales targets.
I feel that GCS has helped me to find myself and to grow as a person. I have had to set myself new goals and targets and GCS has enabled me achieve a number of my personal goals. With GCS I found that the world really is my oyster and that anything is achievable if you want it enough and are prepared to do what it takes to get it.
